After preparing all the clay, see the first post in this series here to catch up if you've missed it, I gather all the tools and bats I will use while throwing and place them on the ware trolley beside the wheel ready for the throwing session.
The thrown mug is then cut off the bat with a wire, and removed from the wheel to dry out for a day or two, ready to be turned upside down and trimmed. Stay tuned next week for the next post, all about the trimming process!
